Consistency is one of those things that most business owners struggle with in its beginning phases. Many quit or pause for a while because they do not see fast results.
But here’s the secret sauce that both the overnight success stories and the ones who get there eventually have in common:
THEY ARE CONSISTENT
Consistency is the real MVP. So, if you want to make it happen in business (and life), here are 5 tips to help you stay on track:
Pick one social platform - Instead of spreading yourself thin across every platform known to man, just focus on one. Trust me, I’ve been there. I used to try and conquer them all, but then I realized Pinterest was where I needed to be for my type of business.
Batch your content – Whether you’re crafting emails, posting on social, or designing assets, batching your content in chunks is a game-changer. Get in the zone for a few hours or a whole day and knock things out. Trying to juggle multiple tasks at once? Probably not going to end well.
Technology is your friend – Seriously. Use it. There are systems out there to help you plan, automate, schedule content and then some. Set it up, schedule it out, and move on to the next task. Your future self will thank you.
Take breaks - Life be lifin' sometimes. We’re all human, and let’s be honest, life can be a hot mess sometimes. Don’t beat yourself up about needing a break. Being an entrepreneur is tough work, so build processes and use systems that allow you to take a step back when needed.
Stay grounded - At some point, you’ll fall off track. It happens. What matters is how quickly you get back up and keep moving. Find that one thing that keeps you grounded and focused. For me, it’s getting a good workout in. What’s yours?
I get it. Running a business is tough, especially when you’re juggling a 9-to-5, a side hustle, and maybe even a few kids. It’s exhausting.
But here’s the reality check: Suck it up, buttercup. Set up a system that works for YOU, using my 6 Top Business Tools that work harder than I do freebie. They will help but only you can do the work by setting them up to benefit you.
All in all, everyone’s at a different stage in their business, so just do what works for you and your budget.
Until next time,
Jamila
